Clara Hughes has a busy week ahead of her in the beautiful province of British Columbia, Canada to spread her messages about mental health. This week also represents a milestone for the cycling and skating champion as she reaches the 5,000 kilometer mark with her Bell Let’s Talk team of cyclists during her Big Ride across Canada.

The Olympics star will be travelling from the city of Merritt to Kelowna on May 21st. From there, the cycling and skating champion and her Big Ride cycling team will then travel to Osoyoos on May 22nd and Grand Forks on May 23rd. Clara will then spend the weekend in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada which also includes a resting day on the 25th when her team of cycling champions will continue to talk to the general public about mental health.

The breakdown of events starts on May 21st when Clara Hughes is scheduled to arrive in Kelowna at approximately 3 p.m. at the local Canadian Tire store. Mainly in its sport section, Clara will take the time to give speeches about mental health and meet with community champions. She will then host an event titled Woman and Wellness at the Bottega Farm Inn.

Clara Hughes also has two smaller mental health awareness events planned for her visits on May 22nd and 23rd in Osoyoos and Grand Forks respectively. She will host a Mental Health Awareness Forum from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Osoyoos. Then on the 23rd, Clara and her team of cycling Bell Let’s Talk members will take part in a welcome event at Gyro Park and then rest in preparation for a big Gala event from 7 to 9 p.m. in Nelson the next day.
