Clara Hughes and her Big Ride to Arrive in the Capital of New-Brunswick – Fredericton by

Journal Notes

Clara Hughes will arrive in Fredericton on the 8th of April and this stop will be her third stop in this province. Being the capital of New-Brunswick, Clara Hughes and her team are very excited to arrive in this beautiful Maritime city of 14,000. The city is absolutely beautiful and has several bike paths and other outdoor attractions.

They are scheduled to arrive in the region at 3 p.m. and their first stop will be at the Government House on 51 Woodstock Rd, Fredericton. Here, the Bell Let’s Talk team lead by the Olympic athlete will meet with the community champion of this region, Maureen Bilerman. Ms. Bilerman is the Director at Dots NB. Dots New-Brunswick is an organisation for Kids’ Mental Health through Youth, Family & Community Empowerment.

In partnership with Dots NB, Clara Hughes will be hosting the second annual Woman’s Wellness event of this province at the Fredericton High School, 300 Priestman St. Fredericton.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Woman’s Wellness group started back in 2004 with only a handful of woman telling their road to recovery stories about mental health. Ten years later, the organisation is much larger in size and recognised all throughout the nation. During this annual event, several powerful women will share their stories while adding Clara’s theme of reducing the stigma to the mix. Like many other events on her Big Ride, this event is also sponsored by the Canadian Mental Health Association.
