Quebec City - Spinning Challenge for a Cause – A Well Deserved Stop for Clara by

Quebec City is the capital of the province of Quebec. Several tourist locations and attractions can be found here along with many cycling paths. It has an area of 484 km2 and a population of about 500,000 citizens.

To raise funds for the Mental Health University Institute Foundation of Quebec, the Crisis Center of Quebec and the Family Center of Valcartier, Clara and her team planned a “Spinning Challenge for Mental Health”. Spinning is the name given to cycling on stationary bicycles.

From 12:00 to 7:00 p.m., the participants will take turns cycling on the bikes. There will be two groups for the activity, the Participatory Group and Excellence Group. Each team consists of 5 people and must have collected and paid a minimum donation of 250$ as a registration fee.

During the 7 hour challenge, the Excellence Group members will need to each bike 1 hour 35 minutes and those in the Participatory Group will need to pedal 23 minutes.

The event will take place at The University of Mental Health Institute of Quebec, tomorrow, Monday, March 31st after Clara has had the time to take a well-deserved break today on this Sunday the 30th.

There will be refreshments, information booths, snacks, music and prizes. The prizes for this spinning event include BMO prepaid credit cards, pairs of passes for the Quebec City Summer Festival and a pairs of WestJet travel tickets.
