Surfing - Huntington Beach Winter of 2014 - Sunny and Surfboarders Galore! by

Journal Notes

Just another sunny day in Southern California and a great day to catch a few waves if you live in Huntington Beach. Waves breaking today up to ten feet in some spots and average 5 feet in many well known locations up and down the coast near HB. Today was not even close to being as hot as it has been the past couple of weeks, but at 75 degrees there were still many surfers out in the water today enjoying the waves and beautiful day. Just a few tidbits here, Skip Frye a long time competitor was inducted recently into the Surfers Hall of Fame located in front of Huntington Surf and Sport or HSS as it known by the locals. Next time you are in Huntington take a walk around the hall of fame the list of inductees is amazing and after all these years it is wonderful to see homage paid to many of the late, great surfers! If you want to read more about the Surfers Hall of Fame check out this site at http://www.hsssurf.com/shof/
Huntington has changed in many ways over the years but one thing remains the same -- beautiful weather, sunny days and plenty of waves!
