Three Stops, and a lot of Travelling in two Days for Clara Hughes and her Big Ride Cycling Team on T by

Journal Notes

Between April 18th and 19th, Clara Hughes and her Big Ride Cycling Team will be spending a lot of time travelling through the Canadian Maritimes on their way towards the province of Newfoundland. To get to this new province, the Bell Let’s Talk Team led by the Olympics cyclist will travel several hundred kilometers and go over the Atlantic Ocean by bridge on their bikes.

For her first stop on April 18th, Clara will be hosting a very short greeting event upon her arrival in the town of Sydney, Nova Scotia, at approximately 4:30 p.m. This event will be held at the famous Big Fiddle, 60 Esplanade, Sydney, NS. In order to prepare and be rested for the big journey that awaits them in getting to the province of Newfoundland, Clara Hughes, her team and the crew of cyclers will not be hosting any special mental health event in this town that night.

The following day, on April 19th, Clara will travel to the Channel-Port aux Basques where she will finally set foot on “new found land” in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador! Here she will be greeted with a big welcome event at the Bruce II Recreation Facility on the edge of the Newfoundland coast. She will then travel to another city for her second stop in this province.

From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Clara Hughes will host a night event in the city of Stephenville, Newfoundland. The event will be held at the local Lions Club with hundreds of locals expected to be in attendance. This family free event with refreshments, entertainment, activities and more mental health speeches will be titled the “Easter Olympics and Kitchen Party”.
